Each Blustream sensor runs proprietary Blustream firmware which controls a humidity & temperature sensor, along with an accelerometer, processor, and Bluetooth radio. The sensor takes environmental data measurements and transmits the values to the App on your phone.

How often does my sensor update?

Sensors collect new data and relay it to the app every 30 minutes. In summary view, data is collected and updated approximately every 10 seconds.

How long will my battery last?

Sensor batteries typically last between 6-12 months, depending on whether impacts are enabled, real-time mode is used, and what battery brand is used.

Communications with the app

The sensor communicates with the app using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). With Bluetooth enabled on a phone or tablet, the sensor is able to connect and transmit data.

How long does my sensor record data?

Sensors can store about 10 days worth of data on the device. After the device runs out of space, as new data comes in, old data is discarded. We recommend connecting to your sensor every week at the longest.
